1. Privacy

The protection and security of personal data is a top priority at ARCA-Consult GmbH (in the following referred to as ARCA-Consult). ARCA-Consult, its staff and contractors therefore adhere to the rules set out in the EU General Data Protection Regulations and their national implementations in Germany.

Personal data are treated confidentially at ARCA-Consult in accordance with the data protection laws and this Privacy Policy. ARCA-Consult implements all technical and organisational security measures to protect all personal data that it receives from being accessed by unauthorised access by third parties.

The ARCA-Consult website can generally be used without disclosing personal data. Any personal data (e.g. name, address or email addresses) collected on the ARCA-Consult web pages are – as far as possible – disclosed on a voluntary basis or to take steps prior to entering into a contract, e.g. when registering for seminars or training events. Consent to data collection and processing is explicitly obtained from the data subject in these cases.

Moreover, data are generally not transferred to third parties without explicit consent. Explicit consent is obtained on a case-by-case basis, e.g. if the final examination for a registered training event is conducted by an external examinations institute.

ARCA-Consult would like to point out that security vulnerabilities may exist in connection with data transfer on the internet (e.g. when corresponding by email). It is therefore not feasible to protect data completely from unauthorised access by third parties.

Third parties are hereby explicitly prohibited from using the contact details disclosed for compliance with site notice obligations to send us unsolicited advertising and information material. ARCA-Consult specifically reserves the right to take legal actions against any parties that send us unsolicited advertising information, for instance spam mails.

ARCA-Consult will comply with the request of the visitor or user without delay. However, it is important to note that it is not always possible to stop actions that are already in progress in some cases (e.g. forwarding of newsletters), so persons may continue to receive post or emails from ARCA-Consult for a short period, even after withdrawing consent. 4. Data protection when participating in seminars and training events

ARCA-Consult cooperates with service providers who hold an examination to determine qualification and competence at the end of the training event. For this purpose, ARCA-Consult collects and processes personal data that are also transferred to external third parties to conduct the examination. The external third parties take charge of the tasks that are necessary in connection with the examination process, in particular marking the examinations and issuing the certificates.

The required data are:

First name and surname, address, date of birth, place of birth, country of birth, email address, certificate ID, date of issue and, if necessary, examination results from previous examinations.

When a participant registers for a training event, or when an examination participant or a training institution commissioned by the examination participant registers for an examination, the participant declares their consent to the collection, processing, transfer and use of personal data in the context of their participation in seminars, training or examination by ARCA-Consult, provided that ARCA-Consult and the commissioned external service providers comply with the applicable provisions of data protection law in each case.

5. Data protection when using Matomo

We use Matomo (formerly Piwik) for web analytics, a service provided by InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand, NZBN 6106769, (“Matomo”) that uses cookie technology. Protecting your data is important to us, so we have configured Matomo such as to ensure that your IP address is collected only in a truncated form. 6. Cookies

These web pages use cookies in some cases. Cookies do not harm your computer or contain viruses. Cookies are used to make the ARCA-Consult website more user-friendly, efficient and secure. Cookies are small text files that are placed on the visitor’s computer and stored by their browser.

Most of the cookies used by ARCA-Consult are ‘session cookies’. They are automatically deleted at the end of the visit to the ARCA-Consult website. Other cookies remain on the visitor’s device until they are deleted. These cookies enable ARCA-Consult to recognise the visitor’s browser when they return.

Where the contact form is used to send enquiries, ARCA-Consult will store the details contained in the contact form, including the contact details provided, for the purposes of processing the enquiry and responding to any follow-up questions.
